For nearly four decades, Rainbows Ireland has been here for children and young people navigating one of the most difficult experiences in life: parental separation, and family bereavement. 

As a national charity, we are deeply committed to ensuring that every child and young person in Ireland has access to free, high-quality peer support when they need it most. 

In 2027, Rainbows Ireland will proudly celebrate 40 years of supporting children and young people, and with your help, we can continue expanding this vital work across the country. 

Why Your Donation Matters 

Although Rainbows Ireland is funded by the Child and Family Agency, Tusla, we rely on ongoing donations to sustain and grow our services nationwide. Your support helps us: 

Expand Volunteer Led Rainbows Registered Centres across Ireland 

We are actively rolling out new Centres so children and young people in every community—urban, rural, and Gaeltacht—can access peer support programmes locally. 

Provide essential support for parents 

Your donation enables us to: 

• Deliver accessible parent workshops 

• Offer one-to-one support by phone 

• Maintain ask@rainbowsireland.ie, our dedicated parent support service 

These services give parents the guidance they need to help their children through grief, loss and change. 

Maintain and strengthen our national operations 

As Rainbows Ireland continues to grow, donations help us work toward securing a permanent home—a space from which we can build, innovate, and deepen our impact. 

Build our long-term vision: A National Children’s Grief Centre 

With your support, we are working toward establishing a centre of excellence where: 

• Children and young people can access peer group support 

• Programmes are continually developed to meet evolving needs 

• Frontline practitioners receive training to work confidently with children facing loss 

• Parents can learn, connect and find solutions together in a supportive, collaborative space 

This vision will allow us to strengthen early intervention supports for generations to come.
