Become a Registered Rainbows Centre
Rainbows Ireland partners with a wide range of organisations to build a national network of Registered Rainbows Centres, ensuring that children have local access to support during times of parental separation and bereavement.
Who Can Join?
We collaborate with:
- Primary and Secondary Schools
- School Completion Programmes
- Child and Family Projects
- Youth Projects
- Family Resource Centres
- Hospitals and Healthcare Teams
- Community-Based Services
Why Register?
By becoming a Registered Rainbows Centre, your organisation can offer the Rainbows Programme locally, helping children navigate grief and loss in a safe, supportive environment.
How It Works
Step 1: Register with Rainbows Ireland
Express your interest and formally register your organisation as a Rainbows Centre.
Step 2: Recruit Your Rainbows Team
Each Centre recruits a Rainbows Team, made up of:
- Facilitators who deliver the programme
- A Coordinator who oversees delivery and liaises with Rainbows Ireland
In schools and public centres, the team is typically drawn from existing staff. Training and ongoing support are provided by Rainbows Ireland.
Step 3: Deliver the Programme Locally
Once your team is trained, you can begin offering the Rainbows Programme to children in your community.
Stand-Alone Rainbows Centres
Rainbows Ireland also directly establishes and manages a number of Stand-Alone Centres. These centres are operated by Rainbows Ireland Head Office and are not affiliated with external organisations.
- Volunteer recruitment for Stand-Alone Centres is promoted via Rainbows Ireland’s social media channels.
- These centres are vital in areas where no local organisation is available to host the programme.
