Become a registered Rainbows Centre
Rainbows works an interagency model with schools and other peer services to become registered Rainbows centres. Those registered Rainbows centres recruit staff or volunteers to train as rainbows Facilitators to provide Rainbows group support at the centre where they have been recruited.
Rainbows can only be set up and take place in Rainbows registered centres.
No one person or persons can set up Rainbows in their home or rooms.
Agencies such as schools, family resource centres, family life centres and youth projects apply to Rainbows Ireland to become a registered Rainbows Centre.
The Centre Director (manager at a centre who reports to Board of Management) must first attend a Centre Director Information meeting.
This meeting is essential to informing Boards of Management of their roles and responsibilities in relation to the policies and procedures underpinning the Rainbows group support.
The Centre Management Body must have specific insurances and agree to the terms and conditions of delivering the Rainbows programme.
It is suggested that centres recruit at least 4 volunteers to train for Rainbows.
Please email ask@rainbowsireland.ie if you would like an initial discussion with Rainbows if you are considering becoming a registered Rainbows centre or before attending an Introduction meeting.
We very much welcome any enquiries or questions as you consider the possibility.
