Boundary of the Rainbows group support
Rainbows Counselling or therapy? Rainbow group support is defined as an early intervention listening support – supported by trained Facilitators with group facilitation and listening skills together including training in bereavement and loss theories, how grief, loss and change can impact on children and young people of different ages and stages of development and how they may /can/do react or respond.
On the International Pyramid of Bereavement care, Rainbows organised group support is a Level 2 Listening support service. Rainbows does not take notes (except under Child SAFEGUARDING) , make reports, analyse or diagnose.
Counselling and therapy by accredited counsellors or therapists is a Level three support and is usually for children and young people who are experiencing significant difficulties in the longer term.
